The 1st CEENQA bi-monthly meeting

On September 15, 2020 the 1st bi-monthly meeting of members of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (CEENQA) was held. The aim of the meetings is discussing current and important issues in the sphere of quality assurance of higher education. The event was held remotely.


During the meeting information on work of the quality assurance agencies from Slovenia (SQAA-NAKVIS) and North Cyprus (YÖDAK) was presented. However, the main issue was independence of quality assurance agencies as a main criterion of their performance efficiency. The participants noted that in defining agencies’ independence the main role is given to their autonomy and independence in the development of accreditation standards and criteria, nomination of experts and accreditation decision-making.

The National Centre for Public Accreditation was represented by G. Motova, Deputy Director, O. Matveeva, Deputy Head of the Accreditation Office, M. Kurdyumova and A. Ishutkina, specialists of the International Relations Office.
